A graduate of the London Film School, Andrew Rose is a writer-director who draws from his French-American heritage, international experience and curiosity to fuse high concept action and horror with humanity. His bold atmospheric genre stories explore fragmented communities and lonely characters seeking connection and hope in the face of fear and uncertainty. His work examines themes of repairing family bonds, finding unlikely friendship, and the quiet strength of strangers united when their community comes under threat. Andrew’s writing has been recognized for its originality and genre-bending vision, winning Screencraft’s 2021 Animation Competition (Ellie), becoming a finalist in WeScreenplay’s 2023 Short Film Contest (7PM) and semifinalist in the 2023 Austin Film Festival (Roll Out).
