Born and raised in Durham, North Carolina, Andrew’s first intro to filmmaking started at the age of 10 with a JVC camcorder and a small cast of family, friends and toy soldiers. From there, Andrew’s passion for directing accelerated, creating dozens of online sketches and films late into his teenage years - often making actors out of his high school and college peers.

After graduating from Wake Forest University with a BA in Political and International Affairs, Andrew enrolled in the MA Filmmaking program at the London Film School. There, he caught the attention of his tutors with his scifi-thriller film When the Howls Find Us, which entered into the Official Thriller Selection of Aesthetica Short Film Festival 2017.

More recently, Andrew completed his graduation film All You Can Carry, earning him a Master of Arts with Distinction from the London Film School.

Shot in his home state of North Carolina, the film stars Kevin L. Johnson (Ozark, American Animals), Claire Bronson (Ozark, Mr. Mercedes) and Jack Michael Doke (The Old Man & the Gun, The Last Tycoon)

The film was completed and entered into festivals in April 2018 and so far has played at several international festivals including:

  • RiverRun International Film Festival
  • Hollyshorts Film Festival
  • SCAD Savannah Film Festival
  • Encounters Short Film Festival
  • ShortsOnTap
  • London Short Film Festival,
  • Nightmares Film Festival
  • British Shorts Berlin
  • Max Ophüls Prize Film Festival

And won Best Student Film and Best Cinematography at this year's British Horror Film Festival at Cineworld Leicester Square.
